The French manicure is a classic that is always on trend. It is invariably popular, everyone wants to do it and is always looking for the perfect way to do it. If you have long dreamed of a French manicure, but can not achieve an even line, and the stencil was not at hand, do not worry! In this case, you can use an ordinary make-up sponge. Yes, you didn't think so - a sponge can be a real lifesaver for creating perfect lines for French manicure. How exactly to do it? Read our article and you'll find out!
What do I need?
- Nail polish (you don't have to choose white nail polish for a French manicure. You can choose any other colour of your liking to add variety to the classic design);
- An egg-shaped sponge for the maciage;
- Food film.
Step by step instructions
1. Wrap the sponge in cling film;
2. Apply a strip of nail polish onto the film;
3. Lightly press the nail against the sponge in the area where the nail polish layer is located to gently create a smooth arch at the tip of the nail.
4. Turn the nail sideways, creating a circular arch. Repeat this process for all nails.
5. Use an ear stick or, better yet, a thin brush and nail polish remover to gently remove excess polish;
6. At the end, apply the fixer.
You don't have to have long nails for a French manicure, especially considering that nail lengths of 3-5mm are optimal for French manicures. Instead of the traditional white, you can experiment with any other colours that match your mood.
Try this method - we are sure you will definitely succeed!
